The human immunodeficiency virus or the HIV, is an immune-compromising disease condition that depletes the body of the necessary CD4 cells and T helper cells that fight various microorganism and infection causing particles that try to penetrate the body.
Inside the body, the virus is able to penetrate the structures of the CD4 cells and helper T cells. What the virus does is that it impeded the structures of these cells from performing their functions. These cells also provide them with the necessary nutrients to replicate and multiply.
When they have multiplied in a very significant amount, this is where the problems start to begin. When they have all rendered these cells useless, the body is now at risk of developing infections and life threatening conditions as the immune system is literally non-existent anymore.
When the HIV infection has come to its full blown capacity it now advances to the condition otherwise known as AIDS or acute immuno-deficiency syndrome. With this condition, the immune system of the body, is generally zero - no cells; and not functions to fulfill and perform.
With this more advanced immunity related disease condition, there are side effects of HIV that come along with it. Here are just some of the side effects of HIV that you will likely to see.
- Enlargement of the abdominal circumference and the accumulation of fats (usually in women).
- Enlargement of the breast size with no particular reason like your monthly menses.
- Headache attacks that seem to have no particular reason to exist.
- Inflammatory conditions found in various parts of the body like the wrists, the hips and even in the back (spinal cord).
- Easy fatigability and marked tiredness in doing normal every day activities.
