Mostly there are no severe side effects of this infection which can be used to confirm the infection similar to all other body infections which can be identified by their side effects. There is only one way to confirm that a person is suffering from herpes infection is to take a blood sample and send it for pathological testing for verification of the symptoms. This sexually transmitted infection is widely found in both the genders. The risk of suffering from herpes is more in women than in men.
