Insomnia is something that many people suffer from. It can be very
devastating to work life, social lives, and cause other health
issues. Although there are many natural remedies that have been tried
to cure insomnia sometimes these do not work. When an insomnia
sufferer has tried everything that they can think of to cure the
insomnia sometimes they need to turn to the medical profession and get
some medicine that will help curve the insomnia. One popular drug that
is often prescribed is that of Rozerem.
Rozerem is available in an oral pill that is prescribed by doctors
to treat insomnia. It is best to be taken about 30 minutes before one
wants to go to bed. It can be taken with or without food but it is
advised not to be taken right after eating a meal that is very heavy
and rich in fats as the pills will not work the way that they were
intended if this is so. It should also be taken whole and never
crushed or split in half.
Are there any rozerem side effects? If someone is just starting out
taking rozerem what are some of the signs that the drug might not be
the right choice for them and when should a health care provider be
contacted about any side effects?
As with all medicines there are side effects that can be
present. Every person is different and may have a different reaction
to medicine. For this reason it is advised not to drive or operate a
car or motor vehicle until one knows how rozerem will effect
them.
Possible side effects of rozerem include dizziness, nausea,
headaches, extreme fatigue that does not seem to go away and an
increased risk for to upper respiratory infections. There is a
possibility of allergic reactions to rozerem. If someone is
experiencing difficulty breathing, rashes, or loss of consciousness
seek medical attention right away. The normal side effects should
subside the longer one takes rozerem but if these side effects become
troublesome it is best to consult a health care professional and see
what other types of medication is available to cure the insomnia.
